PenFed Approved!!!!

I can now remove PenFed from my wish list. I saw that PenFed updated my Fico Score to reflect as of 11/09/2018 a score of 715 so I decided to pull the trigger on my wish list card. I was so nervous and after about 20 seconds...YOU ARE APPROVED FOR $50,000.00 with 4x the traveling points. I almost fell out of my chair. This is my highest CL to date. Since that went so well, I applied also for the Visa but was told it is being reviewed. I will call in the AM to see what the status will be and I will get back to you all. This form is very helpful to all that comes in contact with it. Thanks to you all that has helped me in ANY way. I am so excited about this card.

Jnbmom, with you not getting too specific. Lol!!! My income this year is going to be north of $85,000.00 and no they didn't request Proof of Income. Jnbmom, I thought about this question and I went back to look at my approved application and my income on the application states $67,575.00, this was a couple of years ago when I opened my checking account. I didn't change it because it auto-filled my application without including my Social Security number. hope this helps you.

Thanks for the info. I always thought Penfed was more conservative and DTI/income sensitive as opposed to Navy, but this is good news I would think

I think Penfeds max exposure on credit cards is 50K. The 2nd app went pending because they basically gone tell u they can rob Peter to pay paul. Meaning they gone say u gone have to move some credit from current card to open new one.

Is this the Pathfinder card? They gave you 4X on travel? And I hope this is not too personal but, do you keep a high balance in your PenFed bank account?

Yes, it's the Pathfinder Reward American Express. And since you're not being personal, my account at that time of transaction had $50.00 with history since 2012.

Update to:

Someone mention that Penfed max is $50,000 and that is correct. I was inquiring about my other application and was told I could get the other card but I would have to lower my credit limit on the Amex Card. I said that's okay so she asked me if I wanted an overdraft account that will be attached to my checking account so since Penfed was on a roll, I said Yes!!! The Rep asked me how much? So I said 10,000. She put me on hold and came back CONGRATS on your new credit line overdraft. (I am doing the latest dance moved of today) LOL!!!! She told me I should have my card in 2 to 3 business days and I should see my credit line in 1 to 2 days. Christmas came really early for me.
