Approved for LendUp Arrow Visa

I was approved for the Arrow Visa card from LendUp yesterday! It has a $750 line that is unsecured, but it comes with a 30.75% APR (which doesn't apply if you PIF) and a $59 AF. I was glad to get this approval because I am currently rebuilding after some major financial issues a couple of years ago. They pulled TransUnion (my score is hovering around 623). I was actually planning to get the SDFCU secured credit card before this, but they denied me for membership due to a fraud alert on my CR and said they would only approve me if I had it removed, which ain't easy to do.

Is there a reason you didn't go for an OpenSky(secured, $35 AF, no hard pull), a BofA or Citi secured?

Well, now that you have it, put a note on your calendar to cancel it in 11 months.

Not enough credit cards is not a reason for your low scores. Not enough credit limit might be, but the solution to that is pay them off.

You need to try to deal with the things actually holding your scores down. (That may mean licking lots of stamps.)

Bofa, Citi, and USBank are all banks I have burned in the past, unfortunately. I am in the middle of settling a ton of debt from those banks and others (like $60k total). I've got the money to settle this stuff now, but it will take a while for the original baddies to age off. I've got 5 charge-offs reporting and 1 collection from JH Portfolio Equities (Citibank). I think I can get the JH deleted after I settle with them, but the others I think will only end up being reported as closed and paid, but will still probably show as late.

I'll keep it for a little while and keep the usage low (<10%) and see how it goes. Will use it for gas and PIF once statement cuts.

After your reading your post I decided to give it a shot since I received an invite letter in the mail.My bankruptcy was discharged March 5th 2019.They pulled my Transunion as well with it being my highest score at 676.I was approved for a 1k limit starting .My other cards reporting currently are CreditOne with 450 limit,First Premier 700 limit and Fingerhut at 300.Congratz on this win and thanks for the motivation to bite the bullet!

I was approved for a $750 CL and I was happy about it being a higher limit than my CapOne unsecured with a $300 SP and my Discover Secured Card with $500. Now reading these suggestions I think I'm in a good place to work on those two cards and then let the Discover graduate and apply later on for the better cards. I will now keep my LendUp card for a year and then I may cancel it. I may cancel it sooner, because $59 AF is too much especially if I have other cards without AF.
