NFCU Plat - $7200 @ 7.99!

I love Navy!

I got my cashRewards 9/6, CLI 12/10 from 3000 to 7500 (which is what I asked for), CLOC 12/11 $500, decided to app for Platinum last night hoping for 4-5000 and got this message

I am blown away! Both my CR and my Plat have their lowest interest rates they offer, 11.65 and 7.99% respectively!

I am VERY happy I got out of the garden to do this app as I totally can use this to pay off my personal loan with a 0% BT!

DPs: TU FICO08 651, income 18K, Ch 7 8/2010, repo 2012 (paid 2014), med collection <$100 10/2015, AAoA 4y3mo, AoOA 9y9mo, AoYA 3 months, 3 INQ TU, 8.1% DTI, 2.2% aggregate util, 8.9% highest card util.

You will get an approval letter about the time you receive the card... please share your Internal Score with us when you receive it.

I am SOOOOO happy I stepped out of the garden, this card will BY FAR be the best card I’ll get in a long time for the APR. My jaw about hit the floor!

Now once I get it, I get to figure out how to do a balance transfer lol. Never done one before.

I will if I get one but I didn’t get an internal score with my cashRewards, I looked for it when I saw people talking about it here. I will be on the lookout for it though and thank you, I’m over the moon right now!

It is kind of bittersweet tho! I am absolutely 100% at max credit with Navy now. LOL!

But thank you, I am very happy about it!

Now I can garden and not feel like I am missing anything.

Inspired by your post, I decided to ask NFCU if they could see their way clear to lowering the interest rate on my Platinum card; sure enough, they were kind enough to lower it from 11.74% to 8.99%. You saved me some money Thanks!

Gotta love NFCU.

Glad to see they dropped it for you! They really are something else and I never would have gone for a card with them if it wasn't for MF - probably never would have known they existed, much less known my own eligibility!
