IKEA Visa Approval - (and other CC Approval Info)

Howdy All

Hope this proves helpful...

So, did like 12njoy and did the IKEA Projekt Pre Qualify and approved for $10k at 12%... Did like they did and hit, "No Thank You" button. Then applied for the IKEA Visa and ------ Voila ----- Approved for $8k at 21.9%

Also, applied for the Orbitz Visa and got the under review letter will arrive in 10days note...

Just a note:

Applied yesterday for:

Paypal MC - Approved $6K

eBay MC - Approved (You'll love this) $300

Congrats

honestly dont push your luck with comenity being two majors in a short time period or a very good chance your ikea will be closed down.. Hopefully this doesnt happen to you but stay away from any other comenity cards for a half year at least as they love shutting down people that go after their majors being more than one in a short period of time.. just my 2 cents

Thanks for the heads up... I'm not planning on anymore CC for quite some time...

Hopefully all will be ok with the two I applied for with Comenity... It could well be they deny me for the Orbitz; as I recieved the "10 Day Review Notice"...

The Projekt was a soft pull and thier Visa was a hard pull on EQ

Just a quick follow up as there were some questions on pulls and what credit bureaus...

The IKEA Projekt (Store Card) was a soft pull pre=qualify approval for $10k... (Which I declined)

I then applied for the IKEA Visa (as others have done, run the prequal, decline the approval, apply for their Visa)

The IKEA Visa application and approval for $8k was a hard pull from EQ...

Hope that is helpful for others...

I will now be going Cold Turkey and not be doing anymore Credit Card Applications for probably the next 12 months...

Thanks for the tip as well!! Didn't know IKEA had a pre-qual site. I ran it and was pre-qualified for $6.8k @ 21.9%. Will keep this in the back pocket for any future needs.

I really like IKEA and would be interested in the Visa, but I'm not a big Comenity fan and my other issue is the rewards expiring in 45 days. This means you can't really save them up for a large purchase, and you have to go frequently. Not an issue if you like getting some of the smaller items there, but for me, just not worth it. They really need to get rid of that expiration policy or at least make it more reasonable as 45 days is pretty ridiculous.

According to some posts I've read, you can buy gift cards, which do not expire.
