Jan 2019 Rebuild CC Approvals

Here's what I appd for this month and was approved for.
1. Cap1 40/300
2. Cap1 Secured
3. Discover it Secured
4. Citi Diamond Secured
5. USBank Secured
6. Gettington (needed something to mix it up)
7.indigo (this was the 1st card I appd for, I'll keep it for one year and then close it) that AF is crazy.

Closed shop and placed freezes on all reports. Time to work these towards unsecured lines.

You are doing exactly what I did just over a year ago.

Citi is good and will unsecure your card and send your money back fairly quickly. Took me about 6 months.

Discover was the same way. AND... they both increased my CLI a few hundred dollars when they unsecured the cards. Stick with it!

They will treat you pretty well if you show them you are behaving! LOL

Cap one has a 1 acct per 6 month rule. How were you able to get both?

I never heard of the 6 month rule didn't know they had one. 🤔 I waited about 10 days after the 1st approval and simply went back online and applied for a 2nd card and was approved.

I was just recently approved for the US Bank and Citi Secured cards, since I was getting tired of their denials .

But, I can't find a straight answer on what good behavior is in order for them to consider unsecuring the cards. Is it PIF every month BEFORE the statement hits or AFTER? Should I let a few dollars hit the statement after making a partial payment before the statement then pay the rest? Do I let a certain amount cycle to the next statement but make sure it stays current? It's probably different for both banks but any insight from you or anyone else would be appreciated!
