Barclays' UBER card Approval (Long Process, Still Need to Recon SL)

Wanted to share my recent experience with Barlcays' UBER card in case anyone is considering this card.

Toward the end of 2018, I lined up a mini app spree for a couple of cards that reliably pull TU (part of my larger TCL domination strategy... ).

I went for Uber card because Barclays pulls pretty much exclusively TU and because, despite of Barlays often being considered to be highly unpredictable in a bad kind of way, there have been select reports of people getting $10K SLs with with this card.

Data points at the time of the application:

FICO TU around 770, depending on the model
3 inquiries but all within the last 12 months
Decent AAofA, over > 6 years. However, many new recently opened accounts. In fact, almost all accounts with significant SLs were opened within the last 12 months
No previous Barclays' cards

Process:

Applied on-line and received a standard 10-day response
Called right away and was told that my application was sent to a different deparartment, charged with verificiation and security
Was instructed to mail (no way to email or fax ) several documents to verify identity, to a "generic sounding" PO Box
- By the way, they have a aery specific list and requirements, including the need to do front and back photo copies of documents and sending originals of utility / bank statements
It took the said Security department about ~10 days process my document after their receipt
Even after that, I still had to pass several security questions over the phone to get out of the verification / security department
- Very "interesting" questions by the way, including "What is the name of a super market near you and what street is it located on?"
Once passed, I was transferred back to the analyst (866 408 4064) and was informed of the approval
SL given over the phone was $5000, which is not the lowest for me but lower than some of my other limits (around $10K and $10K+). By my calculations, I was hoping for $7000-$9000. Well, still happy with the approval just now need to work to get the limit pushed over $10K to make this card really worthwhile.
By the way, I asked immediately if I could recon SL and after some checking, I was told that I would have to wait to get my card in the mail to call in and recon SL

Will update this thread once I receive the card and try call to up my SL. From reading others' experience on this forum, if SL recon is done within 30 days of the initial approval, Barclays ***may*** be able to use the same HP. We shall see if this turns to be true...

If you can confirm the # of homes on your street and the utility pole nearest to your mailbox, then I'll be able to say congrats! Nice to see an approval for your groundwork!
