SPG Amex [ Approved]

I heard that SPG Amex will be discontinuted. That means they don't accept new applicants. That's why I applied before it's gone forever.

DP: around 815 at Experian ( they pull Experian), but have not received any notifications, maybe they do soft pull

Income: 200k

CL: 17K ( i thought i could get more than that, but it's fine for me, since this is a hotel card, not a primary card for me)

Congrats!! I hope they did SP you for that app. My last app was more than 2 weeks ago and never got an alert for it. May I ask if you know why they're discontinuing this?

To be honest. I don't really know why they choose to discontinue their SPG card ( the 95 AF version), but this information is accurated and trustful.

According to thepointsguy, The last day to sign up for the SPG Amex is Feb. 12, 2019. Although the card will close to new applicants, it won’t be discontinued completely, meaning existing accounts won’t be closed or converted into another product. Instead, the card will be renamed to the Marriott Bonvoy Amex and retain its existing perks for card holders who are approved before the cutoff date. These perks include its annual free night certificate (up to 35,000 points) provided at each account anniversary, complimentary Silver Elite status and a 6x earning rate at Marriott hotels.

Congrats on the new card, if you already have history with Amex It's likely they only did a SP.
SPG, is been switched to Bonvoy card very soon hence the discotinuation.
