I got my Disco mid November with a $7,000 SL. I opened it for a balance xfer, and used it pretty heavily for purchases these past few months to maximize my cash back match. Since I've got 0% APR on purchases and BT, while I've been making 2-3x the minimum payment, I've been keeping most of my cash in interest bearing accounts until I need to pay off the purchases before the 0% expires. As a result, my utilization is pretty high right now (69%).

I tried the love button 31 days in, but got a "need more experience at this credit limit" response. No real surprise. Just tried again, and honestly wasn't expecting anything because of the high utilization but got a $500 increase! I'd have loved a little more to help with the utilization until I pay off the purchases in a couple of months (that APR promotion ends in May), but I'll take it!

At least they were willing to throw you a bone! Congrats! Discover has been giving some crazy love in the CLIs recently from what folks have been posting... keep them happy and they'll keep you happy!

Congrats on the increase despite how small it is. Think once you pay that balance off you might get a different response.

Congrats on the CLI. I can not seem to break Discover. Stuck at a $2000 SL. Tried heavy use, tried light use, tried no use. Still nothing in almost a year. I guess they just dont like my profile. LOL

Congratulations on your CLI don’t worry if everything goes as you plan there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow 🌈. When did you app for your 2 attempt at a CLI? Just curious cause I plan on doing the same. I just got mine and did a BT. Good luck with it nonetheless 👍.
