Navy Federal Flagship Visa Approval

Well hello everyone this is my first post on the boards! Yay me lol, I have been reading and checking things out on here for awhile and love hearing all the exciting news on people getting approvals and CLI's.

I just joined Navy Federal Credit Union last week thanks to grandpa! So I can say that I have an account with one of the best banks, well that what I have been reading here, I applied for the Flagship Visa and was approved for $17k I must say I was not expecting such a generous credit limit but wow I must say I am excited and happy to finally be apart of the Navy FCU family! I also applied for the Cash Rewards Card but for some reason was denied that card not sure why I would get $17k and then denied another would calling them possibly get the second card approved? Or should I just let it go?

Congrats on the Flagship approval and awesome limit. As it pertains to the denial you can definitely reach out to them via secured message to recon. However, you may have hit an internal limit with NFCU right off the back. If so you can ask they take a portion of the credit from the Flagship to open the Cash Rewards. FYI - NFCU is pull happy and typically pulls EQ for cc apps. Make sure the recon notes you're not open to further HP's unless you're okay with another HP. I hope it all works out for you.

Congrats! You must be at your internal max limit which is why they denied 2nd card. You can try calling to see if they would move some of your limit over to a 2nd card. But not sure if they still do that.

Congrats!!

I would call, NFCU told me that when they receive multiple online apps in the same day system believes it is a duplicate app and almost always denies the second app. Good luck!

Congrats!!! Like previously said, you are either at your internal max or because the two apps were so close together it was auto declined. I would call to ask, and if you want split some limit off your Flagship to make a 2nd TL. Someone did it very recently so I would think it's safe to say they still do it. As always though YMMV

I was jsut got off the phone with Navy Federal and they informed me that I am currently at my max with the bank for the first approval. I am okay with that I wont complain I will just apply at another time once I build my credit with this bank!

Just give it time. Try back in 6 months and sww what happens. These limits change as time goes on.
