I live in Orange County CA and I app'd on 10/4/2018 - I was approved for $25k.

Navy pulled my TransUnion Credit Report. My TransUnion FICO Score 8 was 677 (per JCPenney).

My UTL was 2%.

Income is 65k.

I also have a personal loan through Lending Club for 23k (25k at the time of Navy’s inquiry).

NuVisionFCU - 1k (opened 8/2012)
CapitalOne Quicksilver Rewards - CL $10,500 (opened 12/2014)
JCPenney Store CC - CL 6k (opened 12/2014)

Curious, did you pull a 25k SL on your first NFCU card or is there a previous history there??

No history at all!

I first opened a checking and savings account to see if I had any pre-approvals.

I had no pre-approvals, so I app'd for the credit card the next day.

With a TU of 677 that is huge!! Just goes to show that no profile is the same! Im in the same ball park and started with 7800 CR. The wife has a higher TU then you and me both and she ends up with 1k...she has a thin file though which I'm convinced is the culprit. Congrats on the huge approval!!

How long dis you have the NFCU account before you applied for the card? I opened an account then applied and was declined. My scores are Similar to yours. Maybe my UTL though..mine isnt as low as yours! Great job!!

My membership was about one month old. I recommend calling NFCU for more
detail (if you have not already done so).
