I knew that I wasn’t going to be working for a while and I didn’t have insurance. Luckily, the hospital took half off of my bill—which was still $150k. Once I got out of the hospital, it was several months before I was comfortable standing for more than fifteen minutes. I was living at a mobile home park that I bought and was renovating when I crashed. I realized that I needed to sell the park because I couldn’t manage the project from my bed, and with eight fractured vertebrae, I was in bed continuously. After a year of rehabilitation and managing to get the park in a good enough condition to sell, I sold it and moved back home to CA.</P><P>I pulled my credit to see what the damage was, and I had about ten collections, a short sale, and a 150k medical collection. Before I joined myfico, I paid all the collections except the big one, and opened two secured cards, one from applied bank, and the other was a first premiere—for about $250 each. At this time my ficos were at 590. As I read more and more on this site, I realized that I should have paid for delete on those. I kept trying to get things off my credit by disputing after it was paid, and basically getting advice in the rebuilding forum. After a few months, my ficos were up to the low 600s. I applied for and was approved for a wal mart card for 700 bucks.</P><P>After reading the boards and seeing all the people with low scores getting approved by USAA, which I was a full member of, I pulled the trigger and was approved for 4k. I was elated. I kept plugging away at my credit report. The company that held my mortgage was bought by a different company. So I waited a month and disputed the short sale—bam, removed. I went through the hippa &nbsp;process to get my 150k medical bill removed, which I did. This raised my scores to the high 600s, so I decided that I would try to get in with Amex. I applied for the Delta Gold and was instantly approved for 2k. It only took me 4 days to decide to app for the bce, which I got with a 1k limit. A couple weeks later I had to recon three times, but I got my freedom with a 2.5k limit, and denied a discover.</P><P>90 days later I got my discover card and wanted to try the shopping cart trick, so I accepted the sportsman’s guide visa. I requested cli every single time that I was eligible for one (and my util was in check). For my wal mart card, I requested a cli once or twice per week, and any time my tu score raised. 99% of the time, they were declined, but whenever I hit the love button and got a cli, I immediately called credit solutions and asked for more. Which brings me to my current spree. My util was about 11%, and I was almost eligible to request a cli on my USAA card. I had 4 inqs that were turning a year old in Jan, and 3 more in feb. So I figured that I should get a cli on my usaa for over 10k, then as the inqs age, I’ll replace them with fresh ones—not changing my fico scores at all. I wanted to go big on this spree, so I figured out cards and cli pulls that would spread the 9 inqs I was about to incur over all three reports.</P><P>I wanted to do this spree as efficiently as possible, so I wanted usaa to pull my credit once, and give me a cli, convert my card to a world card, and apply for a rate advantage card. They couldn’t convert my card to a world card because of the chip and pin on my card. The bottom line is that all I got was a cli to 13k—now that’s a great guide for my new cards to go by. So I figured that I would wait until my usaa card reports my cli about 9 days later, then it’s on. The problem was that I had a prequalified offer for the cash + that was expiring. My util was 11%, and no inqs had aged yet, but I went for it and was declined. I reconned and the csr was just like “you have opened several new accounts recently, so just try back in six months.” I just said oh well and decided that usaa would probably match my new cli on my platinum card, if I were to apply for the world mc—which they did. After that, I was reading on here about people having success with reconning us bank, so I called and she said she would send it for manual review.</P><P>The first cr to show my new limit was EX. I went for the citi typ world card. I had a few pre selected offers for the typ &nbsp;with all different offers. I went for the 20k points and 15 months 0%. &nbsp;At this point I decided to wait a few days in order to let a couple more inqs hit a year old and wait for amex to SP me. Once a couple more inqs hit a year old, I was thinking about trying to get chase to use one hp for a cli on my freedom and an app for a csp. However, the more I read, the more I felt like the arrival was the way to go. So I called chase just for a cli. I wanted to get as high of a cli as they were willing to give me, and I know how good chase is with recons, so when I was asked what I wanted my new limit to be I said 15k. That was declined, and upon recon, I was offered 10k—double the current level. By this time Amex had finally SP me and I could request my 3x cli on my BCE. I finished off my EX report by apping for the simply cash business Amex. &nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; TU is always the slowest to show balance and/or credit limit changes, so when they finally did, I decided to app for the arrival before my cli with discover because I didn’t have an inq on TU in eight months, and I have heard how inq sensitive Barclays is. So I apped for the arrival with an invitation they sent me, then a cli with discover—completing this spree. Since I finished my spree today, on the first of the month, everything should be reported in Feb.. I can honestly say that I pretty much have all the cards that I want right now. Not counting the business card I have 96k in credit extended to me..... That 100k club is definitely going to happen this year. It might happen today if I accept the Total Rewards Visa, like I am borderline doing. I would definitely call the EO at Cap one as soon as the new BCE reports. Try and get a pc to the quicksilver and/or another no AF rewards card. How long have you had the rebuilders? They recently changed the platinum from 2010 to quicksilver, but no cli and still has the annual fee.
