Captial One backdoor/recon phone number?

Hi All. Sorry in advance, I really have searched and checked but I can't seem to find the most current Cap One reconsideration/backdoor number that actually "works" and gets you to someone who has the ability to make a decision/reversal. (I've tried a few posted and it's automation or low level no power CSRs)

The background ... I've read all the "good luck" and fortune people have had with the Cap One Quicksilver. I've been wanting a Visa Signature. So I know the standard is 5k CL for one. Not convinced I would get the full 5K but I have a Cap One Platinum that was an HSBC Platinum. It's got a 2K CL so maybe I get a Cap One Quicksilver and maybe they only approve a 3K (ideally) CL. Well I give it a month or two, call in to try combine the 2 accounts/CLs and see if I can't request it to convert to a Visa Signature. Worth a shot, worse case, I have 2 Cap One cards and can keep up a good history and maybe over a longer period of time they slowly work their way up individually.

Well those best thought plans go out the window as I don't even get an immediate approval on the Quicksilver card at all!! So a bit surprised and disappointed and I'm trying to get ahead of this "7-10 business day" letter but even after it comes I'd like to call for a recon/backdoor try.

So anyone who's done a recent recon/backdoor with Cap One post what number they actually called and who they asked for? (ie Supervisor? New Credit Card App specialist? CEO? etc. Thanks!

OK so maybe it was wishful thinking on the combined piece!

Thanks for the tip on the EO info. I'll be giving them a shot soon.

Similarly you can contact the EO via social media site Facebook. AFAIK They answer and call you generally within a couple of days or so.

UPDATE: Sort of Good News. Maybe a coincidence, maybe why I was not approved, but I logged into my Cap One Platinum card account and lo and behold there is an offer to upgrade my account to Quicksilver Rewards. Yes, the one I just applied for and did not get instantly approved on. It's the true Quicksilver Rewards, it has $0 annual fee, etc. The only thing I'm missing is that $100 promo bonus with a "new" card. Still not quite as nice as getting it to Signature level nor as good as getting both cards, but it's a good start. So I'm still going to hold out hope on that last option and will wait until the "letter" comes and based on that, will take the upgrade or try to see if I can get both.
