NFCU CLI approved after 3mos (but HP)

Not looking for new cards or HPs, but decided this is a good week to work on a few CLI's. ..with the goal of no HP's

So far this week:

[x] PenFed Pathfinder $10.0K to $25.0K Instant (soft pull)

[x] BoA $5.0K to $15.0K and $25.0K to $35.0K both instant (details) (soft pull)

-and just now-

[x] NFCU Flagship $15.0K to $25.0K This one was not as quick/fun. Got 24hour notice, then noticed they HP me on EQ (DAMNIT, so wanted to avoid HP) Then I waited. A few hours later logged into site and available says $25.0K ...so seemingly it happened with no fanfare, I have received nothing at this point from NFCU.

***Have only had the card about 3.5months, only two swipes total, one for a couple bucks, one for a couple hundred (card has got very little action). Also have a $15.0K CLOC with them that has gone untouched.

FICO8 EQ 729'ish 9INQ but only one in recent months.

I made a promise to myself no HPs for a while, and thought I could avoid one here, but couldn't. Nice to get the CLI nonetheless.

***Can't help but wonder if I could have avoided HP if I waited 3 more months ...but no value in looking in the rearview mirror.

No way to avoid HP with Navy. I did the same as you and asked for a CLI rather than app for second card. You probably could have gotten a second $25k card with that HP.

Navy is always hp unless you are able to get the sp near AR but its becoming rarer. Great job on getting Penfed sp cli. Thats a hard one but seems they like you

Was the PF one an offer or a new card that you were able to get a CLI in with the same pull?

No, and i may have got lucky.

*I did time it the day after their site updated my latest FICO score, not sure if that was relevant but maybe.

Maybe, and I didn't think of it. Also really don't need another card but I wish I would have at least pondered that option, and known a HP was imminent.

I called them to see if we could use that new HP for anything ...New card, consumer loan, CLOC increase yada yada. The conistent answer was "NO" ...anything you do with them will incur a HP so of course I passed.

You already know all this, but sharing this for FYI to others.
