US Bank Cash Reward approved instead of Cash+

Although I don't live in their business area, I called and finally 2 days later, I was approved for it.

I hope it really means I was approved for 'Cash+' instead of any other card.

UPDATE: Today I called and it was Cash Reward instead of Cash+. It's disappoting.

The CL is 5500 which is enough for a visa signature but I was told my history was too short (less than 5 years) that's why I couldn't be granted for a visa signature.

Indeed I have one VS card from chase so I don't think 2 years history is really the problem. But maybe the location is.

Congrats on the approval. Hopefully it's the Cash+ you wanted but if not maybe you'll be able to PC down the road. Just a thought.

I'm in Michigan and my FICO score should be around 720-750, and util is < 10% for sure.

The total history is 2 years but AAoA is about only 6 months I guess. ( Since dec year, I got four new cards).

Didn't get the cash+ anyway but let's see what might happen 6 months later.

Just checked online, US Bank Cash Rewards is a business card? and you need to use it at least once to waiver the annual fee?

I see you app'd for it. With the Rewards version yes, give it 6 months or so. After you show some action on the Rewards, you really shouldn't have any problem US Bank upgrading to Cash+.

I just product changed (this week) to Cash+ after being declined for a CLI. US Bank are sticklers until you prove some time/useage with them.

You did get in the door and that's not always a certainty by any stretch. Conservative lender for sure.

I probably will just use it for some misc expenses as I have other cards e.g. FIA amex 2% and Cap1 1.5% if Amex is not accepted.

So 1% rewards is not really attractive

i would love to have the Cash+ too! Unfortunately, you can only apply in a branch according to their website and there are zero near me.

Congrats on your approval - got your foot in the door! I hope they let you PC after time with them. I will be looking for you update on this for sure

Yep, just as been reported from other members, they changed me to Cash Rewards in place of Cash Plus even after 3 different CSR's told me that it was definitely a PC to Cash + Signature.

Liars.

I'll remember that down the line but no biggie for me. Just detest their deceptive manners.

Bad, bad, bad, and it WILL come back to bite them. This issue isn't a minority. grrrrrrr!
