Okay--Huge app spree complete....Here are the results:

My app spree is complete with 100% success, and these are the results:

US Bank Cash+ visa signature 5k

USAA Platinum Cli from 7k-13k

USAA World MC 13k

Citi TYP World MC 10.5k

Chase Freedom cli from 5k-10k

Discover it cli from 2.5k-6.5k

Barclay Arrival World MC 10k

BCE Cli from 3k-9k

Amex Business Simply Cash 5k

I am thinking about using the shopping cart trick for the Total Rewards Visa just to get status and room upgrades for when I go to Vegas. I'm not going to lie; my credit goal for 2014 is to join the 100k club and I think that card would do it (ha, in the first week of Feb...). I have spent the last 3 months positioning myself for this spree, and it has paid-off. My thanks to the collective wisdom here at My Fico. When I joined (Nov 2012), I had $500 secured credit over two cards ans $250 in unsecured credit. It has been a great credit ride over the last 14 months, from Ficos in the upper 500s to low 600s--Today's scores in my signature. It is amazing what a little knowledge and intelligent application of said knowledge can do. Thanks again.

Thanks. Feb.is the month of reckoning....It will be interesting to see what the fallout is when these 4 new cards report. Since I finished my spree today, on the first of the month, everything should be reported in Feb.. I can honestly say that I pretty much have all the cards that I want right now. Not counting the business card I have 96k in credit extended to me..... That 100k club is definitely going to happen this year. It might happen today if I accept the Total Rewards Visa, like I am borderline doing. Once I join the club I can garden for the rest of the year--well, until further notice...

I kept my rebuilders open until I got my first prime card. I closed them both on the same day, and never looked back...The cards in my sig are in the order of approval, so I closed my rebuilders as soon as I got approved for Amex.

Wow. Great to know . Thanks again. I was gong to consider begging the EO at capital one to cli my two 500.00 cards and rid the AF but still on the fence. Concerned about my AAOA. Which is 5.6 years right now. Still in shock, I got approved for the AMEX BCE 2000.00 limit yesterday.

Your AAOA is fine. I would definitely call the EO at Cap one as soon as the new BCE reports. Try and get a pc to the quicksilver and/or another no AF rewards card. How long have you had the rebuilders? If it has been less than a year, then you might want to keep them open until just before the AF hits in order to maximize the AAOA.

Just looked up my start dates and I had them both (CAP 1) from 6/2010 and the other one from 6/2011. They recently changed the platinum from 2010 to quicksilver, but no cli and still has the annual fee. The other one is a reg rewards and has an annual fee.

FYI: I just closed an HSBC I had since 2008 but was 400.00 and 89.00 AF.
