Applied for a Flagship today as my first NFCU CC and was approved for $25k @ 12.24% interest.

~$134k income

Do you have any other relationships with NFCU?

Just a checking and savings account. Was really surprised the Flagship was approved seeing as people say it's a "second card" with them.

It is usually the second card with most people. It was my second card so I guess I can say speaking from experience. The reason is that generally people go to NFCU, open a money market savings and apply right then for a card. In this case thier NFCU internal score most likely is on the lower end as they are just establishing a relationship.

In this case I think it is safe to lean towards your prior relationship although just a checking and savings account gave you an edge in relation to your internal score and report. It may be your first credit product but youve had a relationship with them already.

Solid Approval!! Not many are able to pull off the big limit and low APR on try one with that card, and it be your first Navy card. Woot-Woot!
