Okay, I'm back in the garden now, for real!!! I just checked my Chase bank account and saw a link on the bottom left for Chase offers for me... so I clicked and it took me to a page that had a pre-qualified Chase Freedom card and I clicked that and only had to fill in my annual salary and phone number and it said congratulations you are approved!!! SL $7900 just like the Chase Disney... I'm not poking the bear anymore with Chase! Holy-Moly Donut Shop!!!

Yeah, I was surprised to get that card, because I was already 5/24 if you count the Credit One that I closed 02/19. So, I'm gonna lay low with chase and not apply for nothing, ask for CLI's or anything...

According to your posts you had two Chase approvals, the Disney and the Freedom cards, within a 24 hour period. Hate to rain on your parade but in all likelihood when the second approval is reviewed, Chase will close the Freedom or possibly both of your accounts.

Given that these forums are filled with reports/examples of this happening after secondary review by the FRR team, I'm curious to know why applied for the second card.

I applied for the Disney on yesterday and today I saw the option for the pre-qualified Freedom in my account that wasn't there before. It was on a different day and literally just over 24 hours if that makes a differences...lol plus they pulled EX on yesterday and EQ early this morning and TU after I clicked on the link for the Freedom (triple pull) SMH...

Thanks, I'll report if anything happens. Hopefully nothing... I get when there are people with ulterior motives when applying they need to protect themselves, but hopefully someone that didn't plan on nothing nefarious will be alright in the end. We will see, I guess...

These slip through sometimes but we just saw someone the other day who actually had a card since February get denied their CSP app and then have their FU that was already open shut down as well so back to back apps with Chase, just hope you don’t get selected for review.

Thanks for all the concern, I know that everyone is here to help!!! With that said, I called the following personal cards number:

Chase Reconsideration Phone Line / Number for Denied or Pending Applications

If your Chase application status is denied or pending, you can call:

888-270-2127 (Personal Cards) – Updated Phone Number
800-453-9719 (Business Cards)

New Chase Reconsideration Phone Number: Chase changed the phone number for personal cards. The old number 888-245-0625 has been disconnected and replaced with 888-270-2127. I spoke with a very nice CSR and explained that I have been a customer for quite a while and when I excitedly told others of my recent approvals, I was advised of a possible unwritten rule about the number of accounts that can be had with Chase in a short amount of time. I had to verify my identity and she looked up both cards and confirmed that I indeed get approved for both cards! I also asked about the SL and she stated that I could be transferred to another department to see, but it would be another HP. I politely declined and told her I would just see in 6-12 months if I received an auto CLI or maybe request one at that time. I'm GOOD!!!

Why would you call and risk further eyes on your account? That is just asking for trouble. Hopefully you squeak by but I definitely wouldn’t have called.

I appreciate the concern, but I felt that because I wasn't intentionally doing anything shady, I would be proactive and go from there. I also have a checking and savings account with them. I have read some of what appears as horror stories with Chase from this forum and a few seem questionable... I'm not judging, but I definitely didn't want something to happen that I could have just avoided by calling. Thanks everyone again!!!

The analysts who do reconsiderations are not the same as the review team, and they can't override decisions made by that team.
