RBFCU 5K Approval Reconned to 20k.

Hello myFICO,

I have been debating about getting RBFCU 2% CashBack Rewards Mastercard for quite a while. I applied in April and was disappointed at the 5k starting limit. I had 90 days to accept or decline the offer. After 3 weeks of cooling off I decided to write a recon letter. Success! Credit limit increased to 20k.

I accepted the offer. APR rate 12.15%. FICO 8 TU score 820 at time of application. 1 inquiry on TU. POI requested on the initial credit card application (2 paycheck stubs within past 30 days). Average account age 4 years. Oldest account 10 years. Utility under 8.9%. They pulled chexsytems in order to join their credit union. I joined them about 3 months ago but only recently appplied for one of their credit cards. I did not get a HP to join.

I do not see me applying for any new cards in a long long time. I will do product changes if I get bored. I will be closing my low limit Arrival card and Discover IT card later this year. I only want a max of 5 simple cash back rewards cards. I should have applied for their low rate APR card but no biggie I will just pc to it when I get bored with the 2% card!

Why not go for their premier 9% card with a 800+ TU Score? can you call and ask for lowering your APR?

That kinda data point would be very useful.
