I've been waiting for my 91/3 for NFCU and had a bunch of things fall off my report recently. I realized I hadn't checked the Discover prequal in a while so I said what the heck.

Never had anything other than the secured show up but this time...

IT Cash Back AND Chrome.

Good enough for me. Applied, they asked to upload proof of address and ssn so I did. It said to call for immediate review so I did, the rep put me on hold and came back to say "Congratulations! You have been approved for $1000 SL and will have the card in a few days!"

Rebuild is going well

Data points:

Pulled EQ - FICO 8 at 653

Utilization at about 15% total reporting, one card only at 85%, all others 0 or very low balances (made a large purchase recently).

Income 75k

I just recently gotten approved for a Discover card & just like u, I got the same options. I opted for the cash back card & got instantly approved with a $1k SL as well. I have been wanting one for many years, but always got denied till now.

Disco is the best! Congratulations! They offer great rewards, especially the first year. I'm loving their 5% (really, 10% the first year) off of gas and groceries! Can't be beat.
