Chase Sapphire Preferred APPROVED!!

I've been wanting to get into the travel points game and was finally approved for a long-time goal card! I've had a Chase bank account and (Disney) credit card for a little over two years. I never get pre-approvals or offers through Credit Journey or "Just for You" offers. Last month, I went into a local branch and asked if I had a pre-approval and I did. I was shocked!

They pulled EX (my lowest score) where I have 7 inquiries. My AAoA is only 2 years 10 months. No negatives on my reports (my ch13 aged off of my reports last year).

Scores and tradelines in my signature are all current. My income is just shy of $100,000. Up until a few weeks ago I was at about 40% utilization on $62,500 in total available credit. Paid it all down to $0 but was overeager and didn't wait for the new balances to report. I should have, but I was afraid that pre-approval would disappear. Anyway, I'm sure that's why my SL was the minimum $5,000 but I'm still really happy with it! We have a lot of expenses in the next 2 months so meeting the SUB will be no problem.

So excited to break in this new CSP and thinking about what I want next...either the Freedom or Freedom Unlimited next so I can rack up more UR points!

I've seen you post your congrats on lots of approvals but I've NEVER been able to see the picture under "YOU...".

Hey, congrats on the approval and welcome to the Chase Club!! I also started at $5K and after about 3 statements they auto CLI to $6K and then I transferred another $1K from one of my other accounts. Working my way to PC to CSR in August!

Congrats on the approval! Use and PIF as much as possible and you may be able to get an auto-CLI!

Wow! Hope the same thing happens for me! I applied in-branch and the banker I talked with really talked up the CSP vs. CSR. But, I'm starting to wonder if the CSR would have been a better choice for me. But, seeing that I only got the minimum, I'll use this CSP well for a year and see if they'll let me PC to CSR after a year.
