Synchrony 2% Mastercard

Soooo I'm back again. I received an offer in the mail yesterday from Synchrony for "the new" Mastercard. Personally I couldn't find any information on it anywhere online, kind of like my FNBO business card offer recently, but the card offer caught my interest mainly because I have a Furniture Row card & Paypal Credit which is Synchrony & their CLI's have been 👌. Has anyone else seen this card, for an offer, or heard about it?

Here are the offer details:

-2% cashback on every purchase no caps, limits, or tiers

-$150 cash bonus ($1,500 spend in 90 days)

-LOWEST APR card offer I've received 19.99%

-No annual fee

-0%APR thru NOVEMBER 2020

Despite the two recent HP's, one for my FNBO business card & one from a CLI request. (I really wasn't expecting to apply for anything so both of those inquiries were on my dang EX which everybody seems to be using for me so my inquiries are the highest on that report.)

I ended up applying late last night & seen they pulled EX right away as I got notified (first thought 😬, why EX, WHY!?) so I ended up getting the old Thanks for applying, etc, You will receive, blah blah, 7-10 business days. Denial was my automatic assumption all night thinking about it.

I called in this morning to confirm & told the lady I assume I'm denied I got the 7-10 days & the only reason I could think of as to why was the dang 2INQ's recently on my EX report. She sounded like she didn't really listen & instantly sent me to a Account Specialist, she asked me several questions to verify information, put me on hold to review my application, sent me a text verification, next thing I know I'm approved for the card with a $5,600SL!!! Not a great SL but my credit is still mending from my BK & Synchrony has been VERY good to me with CLI's with my cards with them.

Sorry for the LONG post but talk about being thrown through a loop, I thought for sure I was denied due to the 2 recent INQ's & the dreaded 7-10 day message.

👍 thanks for the info!! That's exactly what I got. That also explains why the INQ came up as SYNCB/TOYSRUSDC, quite interesting.

This is interesting... Though there is one small gotcha.... The PP version has no FTF but this one does.....

*still hitting myself for NOT grabbing the PP when I got the early offer*... But now im tempted to grab whichever gives me a sub offer first..

I've had the PP MasterCard....I hated it, worst card experience I've had BY FAR. I ended up canceling it & closing it. Payment system was the worst. For the no FTF I use my CO Venture Card which is 2% back in points too.

Congratulations on your approval! I haven’t gotten a letter in the mail yet. I doubt I will apply for the card, because I have the PP MC and my $19,500 exposure with 4 Synchrony cards.

I got it yesterday too and trashed it...I liked the cash back and bonus... but I have 3 cards that still have no interest for a year or more...so I doubt I would even ever use it.

Probably something mediocre for spend, but most likely the Arlo Solar Panel for one of my cameras. Moving it every time it needs charged is getting old. Haha I've actually been waiting to buy it too so I can put it on this card.
