TIAA Bank Rewards Credit Card Approved $22.5k SL

I thought I should my recent experience with the community here regarding TIAA Bank.

On September 12th I opened a basic checking online with $100. Took two days to get the account opening approval email with my account number which allowed me to set up online banking. Applied for their TIAA Bank Rewards Credit Card over the phone (you must be an existing customer first and you can't apply online) on September 26th. The representative asked me about my occupation, income, mortgage, etc and submitted the application then put on hold for three to five minutes to later be told I was approved for their TIAA Bank Rewards Visa Signature with a $22,500 SL at 12.0% APR. Too bad, there was no signup bonus and intro APR offer. This is basically a plain jane vanilla credit card with a low-interest rate and generous CL. The rewards aren't anything special worth mentioning here. They offer balance transfers with a maximum capped $50 fee.

Also of note is that I have yet to see any inquiry alerts come through and after checking all three reports I'm wondering if this app was an SP instead of HP. I will update this post if I see a HP appear.

Thank you for posting your DPs and congrats on the big SL! I have a retirement account with TIAA and they have been emailing me about getting a bank account and about the rewards card. Now I’m going to take a closer look.
