Apple Card Approval...thin file, no FICO score

First post from a credit building lurker.

Just wanted to share some DP on an Apple Card approval. I have been working on building a credit file since May 2019. I have no FICO scores as of now. Just recently updated my iPhone and saw the Apple Card application in my wallet. Thought I'd give it a try since I read its a SP offer. Completely expected a denial since I have no scores to SP. Put in my info including last four of social. It then asked me for my full SSN, which I put in and surprise...approved for $750 at 23.74%. Not a great SL or interest rate BUT for having no FICO score I thought this was pretty cool. I went ahead and accepted because I thought it would pad my baby credit file a bit. Then I found out that Apple probably won't be reporting cards to the CRAs until next year...lol

Clean file, no baddies.

I realize I should have waited for real FICO scores, due possibly in November, prior to trying for this card (I may have gotten a higher SL or better interest rate). I was just completely shocked to be approved and went for it when offered.
