BB&T Spectrum Cash Rewards Approval -$4500

I have learned so much on this forum. I sometimes go through the pre approval sites to see if I am doing any better. Tonight I had googled something (I don’t remember what), but the forum came up with the BB&T card So I thought let’s try the pre approval link.

I got a reservation number with a choice of three cards 😳. I immediately thought about coming on the forum. Yes, I was nervous and didn’t want a pull with a decline. So after about 15 minutes I thought try it. I went through with the application and was approved for $4500.00. I thought what the h***!!! My highest bank card is CAP1 $300. Not anymore my sisters and brothers.

The best part is there is a BB&T 10 minutes from my house. What’s even better is my washer started acting up a few months ago. A few days ago it just stopped working. I have tried not to stress about it and remember what you have said about opening too many store cards. Lowe’s was on my mind, but I did want a TU pull and a low limit. I decided to wait it out. So I have added a bank card to my lineup.

So far I have not had a hard pull show up. Probably tomorrow it will show up. Not going to stress because I was approved and will hopefully have a new washer soon!

I wouldn't count on that hard pull showing up,

I've got a few BB&T cards w/o a hard pull

from prequal site.

This past spring the BB&T cards was the FOTM because they were soft pull approvals. So you won’t be getting that hard pull.

Congrats on the Spectrum Card, I have the Bright, Spectrum Cash, and Spectrum Travel..........haven't seen a HP yet....these have been gotten over the past several mos. Not sure how much or if these cards will grow since BB&T are not that big on credit cards; .......good SL you have there also. I have the Lowes card too and just took advantage of a 6 mo interest promo in a bathroom remodel

Thank you @ecxpa! I do want the Lowe’s card I just want to get my scores up so maybe they will give a better starting limit.
I had an savings account with BB&T about 7-years ago. Do you know if they do a hard or soft pull for a savings account? I really don’t want a hard pull.
Did you go back to the pre-approval site for your other cards?

Congrats on the Cash Rewards @Rebuild2019! Not that I'm encouraging you to serial-app with them, but if you decide you are, they tend to approval the following card with the same SL as the initial card so you pretty much get to double-tap them. I'm not sure what the new bank will look like so if you're looking to take advantage, do so before they fully become the new gig

@credit_is_crack Thanks for the info. That’s probably a good point. I really hadn’t thought about that. Maybe I will try once I get the other one in hand or at least know it’s been shipped.
