NFCU Cash Rewards(phone call PreQual) APPROVAL!!

So, this “PREQUAL” that we speak of, actually DOES exist!! NICE!!👍

Ok. Ok. I know I said I was going to wait but the prequal was just too tempting. Prequal said I prequal’d for their entire card lineup...but...I know that was false🙄. So, I pulled the trigger on the Cash Rewards because I knew it wasn’t the card I really wanted. The More Rewards is the Card I really want and it will be my 2nd card(91/3)!!(as advised by @AllZero😉)

I knew I’d probably be approved for a low SL(which I was and part of the plan) but, it’ll grow. And I wanted to start this well groomed relationship NOW instead of 7-8 months from now. It is what it is(Darn you, Prequal)🤷‍♂️

App: Cash Rewards $500SL
Pulled: TU 651
0 collections
1 paid CO CC
2 unpaid CO repos(4.5 yrs old)
Utl: 21%(aggregate)
44-69%(individual-paid down hasn’t reported yet)

I know some encouraged me to wait and I appreciate that. I am just an impatient person🤷‍♂️ and was purposely done in preparation for 2nd Card. Thank You All regardless!👍 I just went with my gut feeling and I want to start now and not in 9 months. Hope that makes sense and I didn’t offend anyone by app’g against sound advice? Because TRULY...I knew I should have waited but, the excitement of joining....just got to me. Thanks again all!👍...I TRULY appreciate it!❤️

Congrats on the approval and welcome to the family!

Honestly if anyone is offended that you went and got a credit card, they should seek therapy lol. You got approved and that's all that matters!

Now that you're in, let your account age and get some history. Based on your starting limit, you might benefit from at least 6 months before 2nd card instead of 91/3. That is if you can resist. 😉

at the same time though...I just wanted to be respectful and appreciative for the time those that reply and type their advice and no one listens/heeds a majority of the time...and i know it is ultimately their choice. So, thank you all again. I need a darn lease so i cannot escape the garden again

I’ve been advised(AGAIN 🤣) to wait 6 months. You know what?.....I’m going to do that this time for real! Seriously!👍

That’ll give me a chance to let these inq’s age some and get a nice 6 mo of good on time payments. Take care of that collection(will PFD✔️) allow for those CO’s to age another 6 mos

...and maybe one day they’ll open up DA BOOKS and give me a huge SL on my 2nd Card? The MORE REWARDS AMEX.
