MONSTER CLI Capital One QS - EO

Hey guys,

So I have been on a roll lately with approvals on new cards and CLI on existing cards. This has been due in part of the removal of a paid CA that has haunted me for years. Well I managed to get it removed and the fun began (except for my Discover Card - reports were pulled pre CA delete, so low limit co-signed account).

*CA Deleted - 2/6/14

1. Capital One PC Platinum to QS - 1/9/14

2. Approved AMEX Green - 1/16/14 (Preapproved letter)

3. Approved Discover It - 1/18/14 (Online App)

4. Approved AMEX Blue Cash - 2/15/14 (Online App)

5. Approved BOA CLI & PC Visa Sig - 2/16/14 (CSR)

And finally:

6. APPROVED CAPITAL ONE CLI - 2/19/14

How much? $800 -> $5,000

- Started with an email to Capital One Facebook account with several exchanges for 3 days.

- Then my request for a CLI of $10k was escalated to the EO office and to wait for a call.

- Waited a week, and haven't heard from them, so I contacted them through FB again and was told to wait

- Got a call 2 days later from a nice lady from the EO office and answered basic questions (cli amount, salary, reason etc...) and told to wait a couple days for her call

- Waited about a week and called EO for a follow-up and was told it wasn't ready

- Got a call from the nice lady the next day (which is today) and was informed that my CLI was APPROVED

So, I checked my account today and my CLI did in fact change to a... dun dun dun... $5,000!!!

Took about two weeks, but was well worth the wait. Went from a toy limit of $800 to $5,000 a MONSTER > 6x CLI

Definitely on ROLL!!!

Congrats! I've been trying to figure out for months how to get a CLI from CapOne... ugh, so hard! They are my lowest CL card. Everyone else doesn't seem to have a problem giving me credit. I think they're sticklers, so kudos to you for breaking through!

Congrats! Hopefully my posting for you will be good kharma for me since I'm right now in that 2 week waiting mode you noted. I actually was denied the QS card, did a recon with EO, they came back a week later to ask for some follow up income documentation which I provided just last Saturday. I confirmed they got it and called today actually to check status but still in process/pending mode so hopefully 'a nice lady' will call me tomorrow or early next week with some good news too! Let's start with an approval and a high CL too! Can everyone send me good vibes! Thanks!

You are most definitely on their Favorites list

Check this: My lowest limit CC is the GM World Elite MasterCard by C1 with it's earth shattering limelight limit of 600 (pffttt!). Defining the modern age of the 21st Century.

Comenity retail catalog cards bests it. Ugh. And yes i been 'round the EO route but no way permission for them to waste a HP. Sometime this summer this one becomes a distant negative memory.

About a week for each step. Follow up a day after the date they said they would get back to you.

For a card at $800 I put a ton of recent spend on the card and made sure to always try to pay in full. Went through Facebook and then got EO attention and got a nice roll n the dice.

EXP - 741

EQ - Rebucketed 700 down to 652

TU - 698

Spent like 5k on the card in the last 6 - 8 months or so.

Congratulations!!! I recently had the same success. Has my Cap1 platinum card for 5 months. Sent an email to the EO to request a review for CLI as my request online using the LUV button were all being declined. Got a call back 2 days later from the EO office. They asked how much I wanted (I was currently at 500 CL). I told them 3k thinking that for sure I wouldn't see that as I've read Cap1 can be stingy with CLIs. 3 days later I log into my account and BAM! 500 to 3K! I wish I'd asked for more! Lol. But I'm super happy with this! Maybe Cap1 is turning the tide on CLI stinginess? Lol Congrats again!!
