Let me start by thanking all of the valuable information received here over the years. Thank you all. Especially creditaddict. But here are my stats:

Transunion fico is 579

$200($175) Navy Secured Card opened 03/2019

$200($0) Citi Secured opened 03/2019

$200($0) Cap One Secured opened 03/2019

Great Lakes consolidated student loan($7900) opened 03/2019

All 4 open accounts have perfect credit history since opening merely 6 months ago.

Negative Accounts

1 collection, Ad Astra(2017, $600)

1 bank charge off, local credit union(2014, $10),

1 auto loan charge off, Consumer Portfolio(2016, $2500),

4 student loans, Dept of Edu/Navient(2016, $0) all with bad payment history(consolidated these with Great Lakes)

6 inquires, 2 of which are from NFCU

$35,000 income listed

Before sending the app she asked me which card. I asked for the Cash Rewards. Was uneasy because I was denied the same card merely 3 months ago after attempting to get a new card at the 91/3 mark. . Long story short, while chatting she informed me that it looks like I'm prequalified(NFCU recently started a process to do soft pulls along with their internal history for you and will give a prequalify decision, but you must call, and you must speak to a rep that knows about it, took me 1 rep before I got one that knew) but she told me I prequalified for all 5 cards! Still didn't get excited until she sent app and told me Congratulations!!! Cash Rewards approved for $6,800 !!!!!!!!!!! From a $200 secured card to $6,800 in 6 months. I almost cried on the phone. God bless America, and God bless Navy Federal!!!

Yes it was immediately. We chatted about other things for 10mins or so, then 5 mins to get my current info, then immediate answer of approval. Got texts and email 10mins later as well. I’m still in shock! From $200 secured to $6800 unsecured card. Wondering if I should do anything else now, such as cli request, cloc, etc. always see when others are approved they immediately app for other stufff or ask for even higher limit, etc. Or if I should simply be satisfied and garden from here. Also curious about why they denied me 3 months ago. Virtually the same credit score. Maybe the 6 month mark is the key. Also wondering when the $200 secured card will finally graduate?? Been 6months with perfect payment history. My equifax is my lowest score though and maybe they are doing the periodic checks and just aren’t doing the cli for me right now based on that. Either way I’m still excited!

Yes, a new Cash Rewards card. New cards get Transunion pulled, CLI are from Equifax.

Your internal NFCU credit score rose. You will get a letter that tells you that score.
