William Sonoma CLI - Getting up there

Got a CLI on my WS Visa today. SP obviously. Getting up to there to be an awesome BT card slowly and surely. Started out at 5 or 6k if I recall and now at 19k. Best BT card out there imo.. Love the 0% fees and 0% for 18 months ... Its carrying a small 780ish balance atm.. Paying about 100 a month towards it. Will kill the balance off by feb well within the 18 months more like 10-11 months of the original 1400ish on it or so and be ready to be re-used for another BT offer . Could pay off anytime, but why give up free money!

Thankfully Comenity likes me i would love their AKC card, but with my credit seeking and lack of gardening not willing to put an app out and get approved and possibly lose this gem atm.

I'd like to get the AKC card eventually too, but have some other cards on the list before that.

Questions:

* is applying and getting the Visa a "given" or do some applicants only get store cards?

* what's your CLI process & growth been like?

* any Commenity-specific caveats you can think to add?

1). Can get store card or Visa. If your profile EQ/EXP > 700(probably can be lower, but to be safe and get visa.. also they don't like BK's for majors as usually ends in store card if you have)

2) CLI has been between 3-4k every 4 months

3) No caneats other then they choose to do AA on some people within usually first month of card if they don't like something about profile whether excessive credit seeking or something else.. Usually hear the bads vs. good though so leave you to yourself on that one

@Remedios Seriously the card rocks as a BT card... BT offers arent on demand by any means and gotta work up the limit... But when offered them and usually have 3 months to accept and 18 month terms VERY hard to turn down. Card is a diamond imo.

Backup is BofA at 61.5k, but gotta pay a BT fee on that yuckie so this one will be my back-up to NFCU which obviously is carrying a small balance but will be able to handle bigger BT's with less of an impact to utilization on a single card

I needed a new Vitamix container which was the only thing I would actually get from WS normally. I figured 11% of the limit was probably enough to show Comenity I didn't get the card to not use it but not so much to make them think I wouldn't pay them. Then when I got the card, my statement had generated the day before so I paid them immediately and I bought towels yesterday. So far the card is still open. I am just going to continue to look like a regular customer for the next two months (and that means no more adding accounts) and see what happens.

I don't like the way they do these certificates though. Like I used my $20 one for towels yesterday and they emailed me this morning that I have a $20 and $25 to use. The $20 is the one I put in my order yesterday and this is the first I heard about the $25 (I am still about $10 from my first $25 in rewards with the card). It's very easy to lose codes in the email.

Create folders to seperate stuff or create a spread sheet or something of sorts.. believe they also give you a bday certificate or something like $25 off order if i recall correctly. Every bit helps! I bought a house about a year or so ago so actually a really good card for me if not carry a BT.. although WS isnt cheap you get quality stuff from there. I understand some budgets certainly are better for this card than others for normal use otherwise as stated a BT card in the future

CC, they have great air fryer. I can go 48 hrs between fries. Withdrawals start after that.

Oven mutilates my precious fries, and I am too old for half a gallon of oil every two days

Congrats on the awesome CLI!! I'll have to pick one not long from now, either WS or Ikea...definitely not both at the same time 😜

Glad it's growth is going strong. IIRC, WS caps @ $25K like most of the majors. Which is still a good CL for Comenity.

@Remedios I wont lie i have always wanted one of those! How well do they work? Only problem been on a diet last what 5 months and took off 25lbs as had to look decent during summer .. Plan to keep it off though and an air fryer although love love friend food doesnt sound to healthy. My typical lunch is a half panera salad.. I splurge on the weekend with booze and steaks and rinse repeat. I need to get one though as when it gets alot colder out i pretty much can gurantee you i will put some of my body fat back on to keep warm

Yeah I have a folder I move these things to, it's just a bit more to keep track of lol.

I mostly got this card because I want to get a Sony or PlayStation card in the future and figured I would get in with Comenity now. Plus it gave me an excuse to get the Vitamix container. I have needed a 32oz one for awhile now but never wanted to justify $140 for one.

I would be lying if I didn't say that part of the app was because I was so close to $100K TCL too though haha.

@CreditCuriosity they work great. I've been using it for everything that can go into air fryer, and I am not disappointed. I loathe chicken, but it works for chicken better than oven, less drying.

I was actually surprised at what you can cook in one, because fries were my only motivator for purchasing it. Had to chase some recipes, but I'm really glad i bought one

The only thing I haven't tried is cow. I wont be doing that

Between air fryer and IP, I'm good to go
