Nordstrom recon successful

myFico,

Was approved for the Nordstrom card last week for $500. Needless to say, this was not the CL I was expecting so I called in today and asked for a manual review.

The agent was quite nice and said she would look at options for a 'credit increase'. I told her I was really asking about a re-consideration of my starting CL given my income and desire to reach Icon status by Q2. She then said, 'well let me have a Manager take a look and see what we can do'. She came back and said 'well I couldn't get you the full Icon limit amount but how about $5000'? While I was hoping for $10-15k; my response back to her was "I'll take it and Icon status here I come". She appreciated my humor.

$500 to $5000 in 10 minutes not too shabby!!

Congratulations on your approval and successful recon!!! Did they upgrade your card to the VS? $5000 is the minimum required amount. If not maybe you should consider that as a next step.
