BECA: Approved!?

Decided to give BECA a go since it seems the end result is worth the effort. Donated to the NCU Foundation and applied for BECU Membership Sunday evening, it went pending. Checked on Monday and I was accepted with nothing else required. Got a welcome email yesterday. Called them today to get my Member Share number to enroll for online banking. Opened a savings and initiated transferring money to it. I Intended on waiting until it was fully completed before applying for a card, yet said what the heck.
So I app’ed for their cash card. The circle of despair rotated so long I thought it was going time out. It ended up as pending and to check back after 24 hours. After about an hour I checked the status. To my disbelief it was approved (conditionally) for $20,000

You might want to reach out to them. They'll probably need documents to complete your membership; ID, SSN, proof of address, etc.

Yes if you are out of state which I assume with joining the foundation, I wouldn’t put any money in until you get the request for ID verification which will be when they lock your accounts.

Some slip through others get probed .

Nope, never asked to submit anything for either as of yet.

I was able to verify the online transfer process for my savings acct, so all shows good with that.

Here's what it shows under Loan Status and such yesterday afternoon and it's the same now. Doesn't show they are requesting anything. For the others that were required to send in documents, did it show up in the section below?

No, you will know if they need anything else because they will lock you out of your accounts entirely and force you to call them. Then the fun starts.

I called BECU this morning and asked if there was anything further they need from me for the credit card approval. The representative pulled up my loan number and said nope all is good. I can take up to 14 days to recieve the card.

Knocking on wood daily and hope this is a rare one off by not having to send any documents and such.
