Nordstrom Visa Signature....APPROVED!

My app spree came to an end this week with my approval for a Nordstrom Visa Signature w/ $10k CL! I really wanted this card as it doesn't report a CL.

Mine did report a CL, been a couple years though, maybe they have changed.

Yes. Some creditors can deny you saying that you have too much available credit. I already have more available credit than I will ever need, so the Visa Signature and World Mastercards are attractive to me as they usually don't report limits.

From Dec-Feb. I didn't really intend on obtaining that many, it sorta just happened. LOL

I suppose it could be problematic and could upset a creditor but I'm not gonna sweat it.

Well Nordstrom is already reporting! Only took them a couple days. Unfortunately, they ARE reporting my $10k CL, and it's listed as FLEX SPENDING instead of REVOLVING.

Oh I'm sure they will dip down a bit, but they will recover. I won't be pulling my FICOs again for about six months though.

So last time i checked my equifax score thru myfico in August 2010 it was 773 and my nordy's visa signature did not report my credit line. it used to say $0 for credit line and show high balance only. I decided to check my EQ today thru myfico and holy Sh*t it was 809. i can't believe i am over the 800 mark. i thought i would have to wait till i was a senior citizen not in my mid 20's. anyways to my surprise my Nordstrom visa signature now reports the credit line. it showed up on the report for the first time since i have had this signature card. gotta be honest i am glad it reports now. i think this is the boost in my score considering i paid down $7500 cc debt last year alone. its been a struggle these last few years and i worked six days a week sometimes seven to make extra money for this debt alone. AMEN!!! so happy. just thought i would share with you all.

Yes, they only pulled my EQ. I have seen where they pull twice - EQ & EX - on some apps.

I went to Nordstrom today to buy some stuff I saw online that was on sale. Unfortunately they only had one of the items that I was looking for (store is being remodeled) but it was a keeper so I bought it. Told the extremely nice sales lady that I didn't have a card and said she could set one up for me. Gave my ID, keyed in my income...BAM!!

"You're approved both the store and the Visa card. Which would you like?" "I'll take the Visa please"

10k limit and 10.9% APR

They were so nice and professional there. Told her that I wanted to buy the other items online. She escorted me upstairs to Customer Service and they provided me with my account number info. Told me about all of the great promotions they have. Think I'm hooked!!

EQ Fico is 767 (as of last night)

I think I'm done now for a while...

I made my first-ever purchase at Nordstrom's last Saturday, and to my surprise, they didn't try to lure me in. And this was after I found that they didn't carry what I wanted in store, and I said that I'd have to order it from the website, and I settled temporarily for something else, and I pulled out my spiffy AmEx for the purchase that I did make. They didn't ask if I wanted a card, and they didn't offer to order the other item. (Bass loafers, btw; 90 bucks plus shipping.)

And I was ready to pull the trigger, had they offered the pistol.

Go figure!

Did you order them at the store? The salesperson there said that she could order it from the website for me and they wouldn't charge shipping. I would call or go back to the store and ask them. They are supposed to be very "customer centric".... and you should have frisked them to find the pistol..LOL!! The girl was very happy that I applied.
