Replaced Duck with Citi Simplicity

Replaced my recently closed Duck card with a Citi Simplicity card. They approved me for $7,000, which is not quite what OCCU offered ($15k). However, I think this one is here to stay. About to do a BT as soon as I receive my new card.

Stats:

Pulled: Experian Score: 680s

Inquiries: 13 in the last two years

AAoA: 1 year and 3 months

Baddies: One 30 day late from 2010 and a paid collection from March 2013

Many new accounts in the last year

Comparable to my other credit lines, but at the lower end.

I am just glad to finally be in with Citi. They have denied me several times in the past, but I know they treat you well with CLIs and BT offers once you're in.

That's weird. My Plat Select is half of my beaver...lol.

WTG on closing your Duck and Citi approval!! Great starting limit, enjoy your new card! I have a feeling that closing the Duck Dynasty is going to be a trend after all the fiasco going on with them.

You now have a real card. As was pointed out in various postings through out myfico.com, the OCCU Credit Union Cards were issuing CLs way beyond logic and what most people would obtain from Citi, Chase, and so on. They were doomed to some kind of challenge. One of those too good to be true. You are with Citi and they will be around awhile.
