Amex Hilton Surpass 30K

Switching loyalty programs, thought about trying for the business version but didn't want to push the luck as I may actually want the BBP in the future... sadly couldn't switch the SCP to it, cash to MR oh well haha. Anyway, wasn't sure what Amex was going to do with the Hilton app but apparently I wasn't at max extension which is surprising to me.

Decided wasn't enough in Diamond or the Aspire to make it worth my while. Was not eligible for the bonus (I'd picked up Marriot Brilliant back in April 2019) and they asked me if I wanted to continue regardless, which I did. I actually think that's a pretty elegant solution, deny the bonus but if someone still wants / needs the card give it to them. Better than Chase's policy anyway.

Closed the Marriot card as no longer needed.

SL: 30K

EX FICO 8: 801

Stated Income 160K

31K total SL previously with Amex personal

Another 12K Amex business

And a Zync in a pear tree

9/2012 first Amex approval

I run my life through Chase for the most part so there hasn't been a ton of spend in general on Amex. Pair of $10/month transactions one on Zync one on SCP, and Marriot did 8K last year half of which was just bonus chasing with a tax payment.

Impressive starting limit. Very nice approval. Enjoy the card.

I went for platinum delta last night but got pop up of no soup bonus for you so cancelled out of it... Wonder when i will be removed from their naughty list. They hold a grudge on ever since their RAT team went into full force. Never did anything like self referrals, etc just basically stopped spending on various cards when bonus was made and well here i am today not able to get any of their bonus for foreseeable future . I will wait it out till i am off the bad list.
