Delta Amex Approval? gold or plat?

Hi All,

new to the site and enjoy reading the posts. I am a delta medallion member and have been rebuilding credit last couple of years: currently low 700's FICO (700-2720) range across unions. I applied for Delta amex Plat in 2013 and was denied when scores were roughly 40 points lower. Currently very low util, fairly new car lease (prob negactive to this effort) and have multiple small limit 500-2000 cards. questions: is delta plat harder to get than delta gold? Anyone have experience in turning a one year or less rejection into an approval? Thanks, go team USA!

no don't believe gold is easier then platinum.

Id say give it another try if that much has changed.

I might SP CLI the cards that I have and let them update to the CRAs prior to apping for the AMEX.

Have you tried using the Amex prequalification sitetosee if you get any offers?

That could be a useful first step.

Welcome to myFICO. AFAIK, the UW between gold and platinum cards are similar. Just the AF and some benefits differ, but the chances of approval are more or less equal. The best of luck to you.

They say Delta Gold is the easiest Amex revolver to get. Depending on your income, I would think Platinum is just as easy if not easier to obtain. In my case the higher the AF, the easier the approval.
