Let me start by saying that this community is amazing. I have been a long time lurker and have learned so many tricks of the credit game. I'll try to include as many data points as I can think of. Long story short medical condition 2012, can't pay bills, credit is destroyed (539), rebuilding as of 02/2016. Needless to say while rebuilding I have opened many cards in quick succession.

I am currently 8/24 or was before pulling the trigger on the CSP and Citi Rewards+ today. My Fico 8 per Experian are EX 722 as of 8/31/19 now, 721 after Chase pull. The last two only update once a month, so as of 8/21/19 EQ 705, and TU 715. 1 charge off on EX for SYNCPAYPAL from 2012 and 2 on EQ and TU again for PayPal (sold to PRA) and Seventh Avenue ($702). 10% utilization across the board.

I did not have a relationship with Chase in any capacity prior to this approval. During my daily forum strolls someone recommended signing up for Chase Credit Journey as they will sometimes show preapprovals. When I tried through the preapproval link on the Chase site, I did not receive any offers, so I did exactly that on 8/9/19 and initially saw offers for Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, and Slate. I've always had my heart set on CSP but have read countless forums on denials for over 5/24 especially for non Chase members. My Vantage Score on Credit Journey has steadily increased weekly and the CSP appeared along with the other 3 card offers as of 8/24/19.

Back to the forums for research and read that if the APR is solid and not a range, chances were pretty good. It was showing at 24.99% but I didn't care since I avoid carrying balances. I've obsessed all week and decided to play guinea pig this morning and applied through the Credit Journey application. To my shock, I was approved for a $10,600 SL, my highest limit to date, with a 70k sign up bonus after 4k spend in 3 months.

I had to make this news my 1st post to show others that approval is possible over 5/24. I'm still shaking from disbelief. Good luck to anyone that gives it a go. Oh approved for $4,400 at 15.99% after 15 months on Citi Rewards+ after responding to preapproval mailer. Literally pressed send on both apps at the same time to avoid an inquiry showing before the other application. LOL

Congrats! I've was debating between hotel cards with Chase and AMEX (I was at 5/24), and decided to go AMEX (so now I'm 6/24). I did have a pre-qualification with Chase on the Bonvoy Boundless. I wasn't going to let 5/24 stop me from testing the pre-qualification out, but ended up with the Hilton Honors AMEX since it fit my needs better. It's good to know I had a shot.

No sign of Citi pulls yet but Chase pulled both Experian and Transunion. I’m in Florida if that helps anyone.

Congrats that is amazing!!! Last two cards I want are a Chase marriot bonvoy and AMEX ED. Never have had a shot with chase in the past but I signed up for their credit monitor service this past month. Gonna go check offers now.

Congradulations on the new Chase square that is sure to boat anchor your wallet.

If Chase really wants you in their system they will clear the path on your behalf. 5/24 is just one of these tools they have to decline people but nobody says that they have to use it.

I was approved for the CSP a few weeks ago after having a preapproval on the Chase site (I have had the Chase FU for a little over a year). At the time I was lol/24.

Maybe Chase is beginning to relax it's 5/24 policy.

Congrats! All of the cards on my wishlist are Chase. Recently went on an app spree, and only got denied by Chase, so will be waiting awhile before applying again.
