Citi AAdvantage Platinum

Found the special offer on TPG for 60k miles after spending 2,500$, so I applied yesterday with all my profiles frozen.

Called their backdoor number (800-695-5171) today and they told me I need to unfreeze TU. Asked if they can pull EX or EQ instead and they said no. Called TU to unfreeze then called Citi again and they told me they'll process my application.
Frankly I was expecting a denial but instead I was approved for 2,500$! I know it's not much but I'm really happy I got the card with the increased SUB.

TU report:

26/24, 12/12, 4/6 inquaries

24/24, 14/12, 8/6 new cards

AAoA is 9 months

AoOA is 1 year and 5 months

AoYA is 1 month

FICO around 730 I think (I'll update once I recieve the card)

3/5 update: the card appeared on my AA account but not on my Citi account yet

Two questions:

1- Since this is my second Citi card, will it appear in my account automatically, or will I have to add it when I activate it?

2- Do I have to pay for the AA ticket using the card to get the first bag checked for free, or is it like delta where just having the card linked to my account is enough?

- I have 3 Citi CCs and your new CC will appear in your account automatically. Question #2 - just having the Card linked to your AAdvantage Account is enough to get your 1st bag checked for FREE!

@MrCreditInternational - I have 3 Citi CCs and your new CC will appear in your account automatically. Question #2 - just having the Card linked to your AAdvantage Account is enough to get your 1st bag checked for FREE!

My new Double Cash didn't show up online until I activated it. Then it popped up without any effort on my part.
