Chase FU approval & my attempt to trigger auto CLI on IHG

The last cc I applied for was the IHG select card in Apr 2018 before the end of the capped free night. App was denied due to a 9yr old bk on file, but I was able to recon and get the card with 2k SL. Never got any CLI despite decent usage. I got an upgrade offer in Oct 2019 to the premiere version. I took the upgrade and tried to see if I could trigger an auto CLI, thinking that the product change would somehow be seen in the system as a new card. It seemed like Chase sometimes gives auto increases to accounts around the 4-6mo mark.

Since the pc, I've used the crap out of the card, about 80% usuage each month.

So far, it's not working!

Yesterday I applied for the Freedom Unlimited card. Got the generic "we'll let you know" message. HP on EX (fico 8 is 824). Tried to check app status online but it said that I didn't have any application activity so I called the status and heard the 30day message. This morning I called the fraud/verification number and the rep just verified that I applied and texted me a code. He said the application now is just pending and I should know within 3-5 days. Later in the day, I saw the new account online. SL $24,100. So this is a win! Back to gardening.
