BECU Visa

Well, I've been wanting to join BECU for a while now, and finally did it on a whim this morning. Then I decided to apply for the regular Visa because I need the BT and really don't another Cash back card. Well, it took a while just waiting and then an approval.

They pulled TU, not sure of current score.

Bye bye Bronze spade. I'll see you in a month.

Does anyone know if BECU allows double dipping on hard pulls like some other credit unions?

As far as I've experienced, they don't use the same hardpull. The three times I did ask (I recently joined as well) - credit card, personal loan, and CLI for balance transfer card, it was a hardpull to TU each time. This was also only around three weeks apart.

If request is done online, you may incur additional HP.

Last year, csr recommended to call in to request any additional products over the phone to circumvent automated inquiry. Not sure if that holds true today.

Congrats. Suprising you got approval for cc and membership in one say. Do you actually live in their geo print cuz that was super fast?

That would be their overzealous fraud team. They can be a real pain to deal with if you don't live in WA. Some don't have any issues after providing the documents they ask for, others don't fare as well.

Nope. I don't live in their geo print. All I did was join an org that was listed on their site and then got my basic savings account to get in, and then applied for a card all in the span of an hour.

I would recommend being proactive and contact them and find out what else is required. Get your documents in order.
