After garden APPROVALS!

So After spending what felt like eternity not doing any applying and cleaning some stuff up with the big 3 I decided it was time to pull the trigger on some keeper cards I applied for 8 cards 3 were given the 7 to 10 days and 2 were INSTANT approvals! 3 DENIALS

Discover it miles 7 to 10 days (fingers Crossed)

Citi Costco Visa (7 to 10) got a good feeling about this!

Capital one Venture (7 to 10) actually I believe this was a 30 days message

SURGE MASTERCARD (INSTANT APPROVAL 500$) CELABRATION TIME COME ON!

Sam's club credit ( 300$) low limit I no backdoor here I go!

Chase Amazon prime ( denied )

Wells Fargo Cash Wise (denied)

Stats

EQ 642

Ex 638

TU 647

To many inqs to count but working on this

AAOA ck says 1.3 years Experian says 4 years

Some good ol medical collections I haven't yet bothered with A late payment or 7 in the last 24 months 89% UTI (I pay twice the minimum) any other suggestions before I hang it up for another few months?

I think you'll see a big score jump if you get your uti below 29% and then below 9%, and then again if you employ the AZEO method. Otherwise, congrats on your approvals. Good luck!

Thank you to the community these approvals were not even possible a few months ago now here we are my dream card is the platinum Amex so hopefully next month or so I can nail it!

How long were you in the garden? I recall you posting just in February about applying for alot of cards and getting denials? 3 months is a start but I think you should have waited for a little more time and held out for better cards than Surge? You really should let the accounts you have age as suggested previously .

Honestly I don't think Citi is going to approve with that score.

Atleast 6 months, but preferably 12 months.

Wow I don't understand how I can see members signatures with like 60+ cards yet if they garden for 6 months to a year how can they amass that warchest?

Because these member have have strong profiles to begin with so they can get a handfull of cards and then garden, rinse and repeat.

If you are serious about building a good credit score, you will stop and not app unless you absolutely need something. I sat in low/mid 700's until I got serious and gardened for nearly 2 years. Now all over 800 Fico 8's.

Gardening does work, and should be the default behavior for most people.

Update Citi Denied to to inquires and a derogatory event whatever the hell that is

Chase Amazon denied due to to many open accounts past present obligations derogatory information

Funny Citi gave me a score or 617 thought the fico is what is used and my fico 8 is a different score then Citi provided recon?

Citi uses EQ FICO Bankcard 8 score, goes 250-900. So a 617 is very low.

Man I grew up believe 650 was prime back in the day 617 would have been good wish I had a time machine to jump 6 months well twelve months into the future or like the last poster stated 2 years to be in that 800 and get 60 cards with massive limits

The year is 2020, if you sneeze its going to be recorded in some file. I would avoid try to up smart the billion dollar banking institutions. You may find a quick scheme for a short time, but your talking about your Credit File that would follow you for the rest of your life. Not worth it

Look man, I'm just gonna lay it out here and hopefully you'll take it for the benefit it's intended to give.

I'm still debating whether you're trolling here or you really believe you're doing this right (honestly I'm leaning heavily toward trolling but will write this in the hope that somewhere, somebody who is debating this strategy sees it and doesn't follow suit). I've read your past threads and seen how you're doing this and it makes my hair hurt.

If you pay any attention on here, you'll know that with your inquiries, trying for Citi and Chase is dead before it starts. With the tightening that we've been seeing, Disco is an outside shot but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Gardening isn't meant to be a commercial break during a football game. The idea isn't to step back just long enough to take a breath before applying for every garbage card out there. As I'm positive you've seen, the path to good scores and approvals is to apply for credit when it's needed, not because it's been five minutes since the last approval. Garden for three months with a stack of subprime cards and then apply for Citi and Chase? No. Hoping to have 60 cards by fall? At this rate you probably will...and their total combined credit line will probably almost equal a good SL on a Sapphire Preferred for a person with a solid profile, with an interest rate that should keep you up afraid at night.

Instead of piling on the inquiries and cards that would be best used as putty knives, spend time cleaning up your profile. Clear the negatives. Pay down the ridiculous balances. It'll give you time to build account age and allow HPs to possibly age away (and no you can't just dispute them off).

Yeah. When it's been a few months, leave it hung up longer until it's been two years, your balances are paid, and your HPs are gone. Try managing (term used loosely) your profile this way if you have prime lenders and you'll very quickly find yourself with no lenders and a bunch of closed accounts and chargeoffs.

And that's it. Now I'll hang it up. You've been repeatedly given the right advice and have repeatedly ignored it completely, so you do you, have your fun, but don't wonder why your scores remain stagnant and your profile doesn't improve. All the info and corrections have been given out already. Your call whether you eventually listen.
