Chase showed me some luv today

Applied for the Southwest Airlines credit card after only 4 months with the Slate and bam approved for $5,000. It's the happy dance right now. Now I have to figure out how to update this siggy again.

Thank you. Done apping. Monday 3/10/14 will be asking for the Amex 3x cli on the BCE and hopefully will get that to $19,800. That will be the Coup de gras if I can pull that off. Hopefully since I'm sitting at less than 1% utilization.

It's still reporting with $15k credit line and my balance, just noted as "closed by grantor". So far my score hasn't taken a hit, so I'll pay my $3k balance down $500 per month unless an issue arises. I don't like Ducks anymore.

So did they just close the accounts because people did not reside in Oregon? This was very crappy, if that was the reason.

So did they just close the accounts because people did not reside in Oregon? This was very crappy, if that was the reason.

I think so. The first time I called (day before I got the letter), the CSR went over my limit, available balance, etc... Then after I got the letter she did the same thing. Only when I told her I got a closure letter did she admit the account was closed. I think if they would have just come out and said "we changed our requirements, you must reside in Oregon" it would have saved face for OCCU.

No, my Discover is still at $5k, I never got any CLI on it and they want a HP. I debated transferring the OCCU balance to them, but I think if it comes to that, I'll transfer the balance to my BoA Cash Rewards since it has a higher limit. I also destroyed my TU with Saks and Neiman Marcus apps yesterday so I should lay low for awhile

I took 2 HP's from Discover. It seems, here in Ohio anyway, that for cli they pull TU. I had TU froze on the first cli request and they pulled EX. They never even asked me to unfreeze TU and I didn't realize it was froze until they pulled EX. Either way it worked out for me because my EQ is the lowest of the three
