Caesard Rewards - APPROVAL post BK7!!!!

Hey everyone!

I had a CH7 BK discharged 8/2016 and have been rebuilding my credit since then.

I burned Comenity for quite a bit and while they have given me plenty of store cards, I have been unsuccessful in getting BACK my Caesars Rewards Visa which I previously had with them. I go to vegas 1-2x a year and love the rewards for it. I think I've been declined for this card 4x since my discharge.

I saw my TU and EX scores increase yesterday afternoon and thought, why not just take a chance on a HP.

I was SHOCKED! Instant approval for $1,000. I'm sure/hoping it will grow just as quickly as it did before.

Scores are hovering right around 680-690 with a 50% total utilization.

I've never had an AMEX before, but from what I've read, since I never had one with them and I have the BK7, they usually look for 5 years post discharge. So September 2021 will be my target date for my next card

I've given up on attempting to get back with Chase for my Southwest rewards card.

Congratulations on your approval! Yeah you can forget anything that is backed by Chase. I filed for a BK7 back in 2016 also, and I burned Chase. They will not approve anyone with a BK7 on their CR's no matter how high your scores are. I also have checking/savings with Chase, and I'm an AU on my sisters Chase Southwest cc (19k limit). I don't ever expect to see any offers in my credit journey until my BK's fall off. Since I burned Chase for 5,500, I wouldn't expect them to allow me back unless I pay them back. How much did you burn Chase for? Maybe they will change their rule in the future on BKer's. Who knows.
