PenFed Approval 22 months post BK

Been waiting for something other than the CreditOne, Blaze, and Merrill to happen. Was surprised today with an email from PenFed about Exclusive offers. So I bit the bullet and applied. Surprise!!! 15K Gold Card.

22 months post BK. Experian Fico 8 sitting around 695.

Although I have no plans of using it, other than to get the statement credit, it was exciting.

@Anonymous I received that email as well "Exclusive Offers" but not sure if that's all Marketing stuff. Anyways Congrats on the approval

January 2019. I joined knowing I probably wouldn't be approved for any of their offerings but figured it might be helpful to establish myself there. I'm not very active with my accounts there. I struggled with their limitation on transferring money out so didn't use it much. Their vehicle refinance loans didn't work out because of the value of the vehicle was lower than what I owed. Since then I've just let my accounts sit until today.

I was thinking the same thing and it very well may be. Its possible I would have been approved anyways. So far I haven't been notified of any hard pulls resulting from the app.

So happy for you. I never got a HP for my credit card either after establishing an account with PF.

Congrats....interesting i was told it was marketing by a rep i actually got that email like you today but i feel it would Be a wasted hard pull..give us a lil Dp about your profile? how many accounts you open in the past 12mo and how many inquirys did u have

no offers when i log in just the annoying banner of a card they will deny me for 😂 been denied twice 740 plus each time i been gave up
