Got approved for a student credit card yesterday

Remembered a couple of offers I got for credit cards a while back. Decided to look into them. Had some from Discover that would expire soon.

So I applied for a student card, just had to send in a document and I got approved, with a modest credit limit.

It comes in a few days.

There was also an offer from 1st Financial Bank but that seemed sketchy, their interest rates were really high and their reviews were pretty poor so I threw it out.

I feel like credit card companies make money off of students thinking it's free money, but you gotta pay it back lol.

Reminds me of the Dr. Phil kid who used her mom's SSN to open 17 credit cards and rack up more than $25,000 USD in debt, and turned down an offer to get that all paid back.

I hope I never become these people.

These people are sooooo shady. 31.4% APY, annual fee after the first year, suspiciously high credit limits, almost universally bad reviews amongst students, poor tech support... This is almost akin to Vector Marketing, preys on college students and sucks the money out of them. Avoid both at all costs.
