Walmart Discover SHOCK!!!!!

I've been applying for a cli on my Walmart Discover for the past month like crazy since they are SP's. I must have aplied like 6 times. Well today I called to find out when my statement closes for March. Representative initially said that I won't have a statement since my balance is zero. I said well I always have a zero balance because I PIF before statement closes. She said well your statement actually closed 3/6/14. I said I want to do a cli. She went through the standard questions and asked how much I wanted to request. I said I wanted to go from $1,800 to $3,000 so a $1,200 increase. She came back on the line and said the system actually approved a new credit line of $4,300. Now here's the funny part: the CSR asked me if I wanted the $4,300 or just my request of $3,000. I said I'll take my $4,300 and keep it moving Glad I decided to call tonight. I was thinking that my statement would close tomorrow night. Well I guess it's time to go to Walmart tomorrow to do a little shoping!

Thanks. Yes, I was totally expecting a denial on the $1,200 request. I actually just received a Walmart Discover cli denial letter in the mail today.

Congrats and just a thought ge usually is an issue to get cli when you don't have statements cut... You can't pay it all and let it be $0... I don't know how long you have had the card and the cli you got seems to counter my previous statement so clearly not set and stone but I feel the past history of others ways heavier on it being more the rule then your cli today
