Getting the keys to my house today - CLI spree

Curiousity got the best of me. Nobody HP'd except for PenFed.

Discover - $2500 CLI from $15,600 to $18,100 (one of my best bumps from them)
NFCU Platinum - $500 CLI from $31,000 to $31,500 (I requested $40k haha)
PenFed Power Cash - Denied - still at $18,000. They either didn't give a reason or I forgot it.
CapitalOne Savor - Denied - still at $5,000. Insufficient utilization of current credit limit (totally valid - haven't dined out in 3+ months)
Citi Costco - Denied - still at $5,500. Claims BK on report as the reason (which was there when they gave me the card initially.) This one irks me. I wanted to build a good relationship w/ them, and was putting $3k/month on average on my $5500 limit card and PIF each month. This is my 2nd CLI denial citing the BK as the reason.

While I can't request a CLI on my $1800 Target card, I spent a chunk of money there this month and updated my address/income, so maaaaaaybe?

Didn't request anything on my $23,500 Navy Amex or $25,000 PenFed Pathfinder.

Applied for the Apple Card and was denied again for the second or third time. It's just as well. I like and have enough cards & credit at the moment.

Off to the garden I go for a good long while

Congrats on those sweet CLI for Discover and NFCU Platinum thats like 60x CLI for the NFCU lol. Yeah I got denied a CLI from Citi Costco too a week ago mines at $6.5k and I spend say 1k/month with the card. Don't think they are the kind to give high CLI or any honestly

NFCU actually hasn't been HP'ing for CLIs for the last few months. Not convinced it's absolute . . things can always be YMMV when it comes to this stuff, but I wasn't HP'd for my last two increases from them.

Target is a mystery to everyone here. The only pattern people seem to have uncovered here is that they like you to let balances report (even high util ones) and then you PIF and update your income and it sometimes triggers their magic CLI genie.

Only gained 1 HP from PenFed. I can live with it

Congrats on all the CLI's! I've heard (possibly just rumor) that even co-branded Citi cards are stuck at the starting CL as long as you have a BK on your report they pull for CLI's. Maybe this helps you feel better. Still pretty awesome DP's with a BK roughly 5 yrs old!
