Navy Federal nRewards secured card just graduated!

It changed to a cashrewards card(1.5% cash back) with a 2,000 limit. I was wondering if I should keep it or attempt a product change, and if so what do you recommend? I was thinking the More Rewards but that has a bonus of 30k points if you spend $3000. If so, does Walmart count for the 3x points on supermarkets? If not then I really don't need the More Rewards as I already have the GO rewards card. Thanks in advance!

To answer your question, I do not think you get the SUB Sign Up Bonus when doing the product change. I think it's only valid at new application.

As far as which is more useful depends on your category spend. They are all great cards.

Walmart only gets you 1% not 3% from the More Rewards AMEX, no matter what you purchase.

However, all gas stations should be 3%, even if it is a Walmart gas station.

Note that you can't get cash back from the More Rewards card until you have earned $50 of rewards and it has posted to your statement. But you can redeem cash from a Cash Rewards card at any time.

Depending on your financial goals and desire for diversity of lenders, you might want to apply for the AmEx as a second card later.

So my wife orders groceries online and we pull up outside and they bring it to the car. This counts as groceries for rewards. We've been able to do this with bout our MR and Amex Gold Card. Hope that helps.
