Barclay Arrival World MasterCard conditional approval.. What should I do?

I was conditionally approved but they wanted me to send in my social security card and a drivers license via regular mail. I called the number on the letter I got yesterday and it took me to their security department. I asked them if I could send my information via a more secure way, fax, secure email, email but their answer was that it had to be sent via regular mail. Unfortunately I'm not risking my identity for a credit card. Would like to know if there is a number I could call other than the one on the letter to solve this issue.

Any advice is welcome.

I have never heard of Barclays conditionally approving a card then requesting docs only via mail. That sounds very odd and I wouldn't do it either. Did you call the security dept number listed in the Backdoor Numbers thread?

No I did not. I only called the number on the letter I got in the mail. Will search for their number here and call shortly.Will report back soon.
