NFCU showed me some love!

I joined NFCU last month and applied for a nRewards Visa and an auto refinance. Was quickly denied both. So I got frustrated and closed my accounts. Well I kept seeing everyones success stories and decided to try again. So I joined on Sunday and took a chance on the nRewards card. After I applied, I sent a secured message to customer service stating how Im trying to rebuild my credit, etc., etc., after getting the idea from another poster on this forum. Got the 3-5 day message. Well just checked my application and after 2 hours….APPROVED! $1000. I know it may not be what everyone else is getting but with my scores I am really surprised and thankful they took a chance and for all the great advice on here! GO NFCU!!!!!!!!!!!

I was supposed to be gardening but came out just for that. Now I am officially done! Until its time to refinance my car in 6 months!

Thanks! If it wasnt for this forum I would probably still be in n the 400 club....next stop 600 club! Lol

Great job. I have about 30k in credit with NFCU and that is not couning the 20k I owe tnem for my car. About two years ago my scores were like yours, so the rule is never screw NFCU over no matter what. I would also recommend you quit closing your account, you want them to see you as a stable person and a great credit risk.

Thanks for the great advice! You are correct...I will not be closing these accounts anymore. Since they have given me a chance, I am going to give them loyalty!
