Waiting 11 years for this CLI. Should I be happy??

Capital One finally threw me a bone, A WHOOPING $100. This card has been at $750 for the past 11 years. I've been asking for an increase for about 5 years now. Should I be happy? I feel rather ungrateful and is very much displeased with the increase, but I accepted in an act of good-faith that Cap One will throw some more bones my way. They had the nerve to offer the option of a lower increase.

well - it is more than zero.....

i am guessing you keep this card for the Age, so any CLI is fine in that regard

I hear ya....I have some of my Cap1's stuck for a long time. It helps with my aging so I just let it ride.

Yes, the oldest card in my line up. This is the only card I have with no FTF and I pay a mortgage for a home in a different country using this card.

makes sense - i use mine very rarely, but do take it to Canada 2-3 times per/year because of the no FTF

mine is also my oldest card

I am mildly amused. I think I've requested an increase every 4-6 months for the past 5 years and this is the end result.

WOW 11 years with no CLI and here I am complaining after no increase within a year. Man, Capital One is tough. Congrats on your CLI

Likely you have one of those cards they have put a lid on it. Had one myself and it never went above $750. Others across this Forum have found that if they applied for other Cap1 cards often they got good CLs but the starter rebuild cards may be benched for life.

Oh Heck No!!! After 11 years, just leave me there. That would boil me enough to close. That's antagonizing a cardholder. Robo-lady and I would have some very serious words!!! 😂

Not surprised, this is such a Capital One thing to do. I waited 2 years for a CLI on my QS1, got $100 as well. A whopping $600 CL total.
