OMG HOLY SMOKES!!!!!

I applied through the creditcards.com link...it said I was pre-qualified.

Tried for BCE right after....

Holy crapballs you guys....I'm so happy I'm literally in tears right now. I was declined for the Unicorn in 2012...but I'm in with AMEX now baby! I've been working on my credit for almost two years now (The 30th will be my 2nd anniversary here, actually!) and I've been looking forward to this moment!!!

Got the better sign up bonus of 50K MR points after $1K spend over 3 months...I plan on taking a trip later this year and this would work out perfectly....

ETA: I know creditcards.com uses TU for their soft...so I'm not sure if AMEX did as well (would have to order a copy of TU report to check). There's definitely a pull for AMEX on EX - hopefully I didn't screw myself and get double pulled!

TU score is 645 - UTIL around 22%. An old CO, an old collection and 2 satisfied judgments are on TU as well. AAOA around 2.5 years. EX is a bit higher....

Congrats on this! I feel you on your joy, as I felt extreme emotions when I was approved for my first AMEX Charge card and Revolver shortly afterwards.

Did the PRG first, was approved for that then tried getting the BCE hoping for just one pull. Didn't quite work out but will definitely try again later!

It's so amazing...around this time two years ago I barely had a $300 Household bank mastercard...it's definitely a shock what two short years can make.

Next are Chase and Citi but honestly am in no hurry...but if the right offer comes along who knows!

Congrats! Same thing happened to my dad altho when the card arrivd it was the Gold Card and not the PRG, on the site where you check the app satus it says PRG APPROVED but the card he got sent was the Gold (strange). Dont really mind since the AF will be $50 less. Card looks great!
